With Bachelor degrees in both Fine Arts and History of Art, Rollande Dufault is a professional artist who is listed in the ‘’Biennial guide to Canadian Artists in Galleries” published by Art Magazin/Magazin ‘Art, (available in most galleries, museums and major libraries in Canada). Born in the province of Québec, she has become known on both the national and international art scenes.
Recipient of numerous awards nationally, including first prize in the People’s Choice category (Aylmer Arts Council’s Spring Show in April, 2011), she has also shown her works several times at the (Salon de la Société canadienne de l’aquarelle) Canadian Society of Watercolour’s Exhibition in Montreal and its subsequent tour across the country. Although watercolourist at heart, she also works with acrylic, oil and mixed media. |

In 2010, at the International Visual Arts Gala in Laval, her work entitled ‘’Quebec” won honourable mention ‘’Grande Distinction”, and in November 2011, she received the ‘’Second Grand Prize” of the jury for her mixed media entitled ‘’Entracte” at this event. Another honourable mention was awarded her in 2011 in Marennes, France for her acrylic ‘’Abstraction 405”.
Rollande is among the numerous artists from Canada who have been active in promoting contemporary Canadian art on the international stage in countries such as Spain, Belgium and France...
In June of 2011, she was selected by the jury of the prestigious “Société nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris” to participate as a member of the Canadian delegation at the annual Salon SNBA to be held at the “Carrousel du Louvre” in December under the honorary presidency of Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy.
